Some criminals think they can get away with anything—but one Texas deer hunter’s plan really went down the toilet.

Game wardens in East Texas just busted a guy for hunting from inside a port-a-potty. Yes, you read that right. This man thought he’d camouflage a port-a-john, cut gun holes in the sides, and use it as a makeshift deer blind.

Now, the port-a-potty itself wasn’t the problem. Apparently, there’s no law against hunting from one (gross, but legal). The real issue? He set it up on private property without permission. Now, THAT'S a problem!

The Investigation Begins

Game wardens first found out about this "poo-patriot" last year and decided to set up cameras to catch him in action. Sure enough, he came back on the first day of deer season in November, ready to do his business—hunting business, that is.

Once officers had their proof, they confronted the hunter, and he admitted to hunting without permission. They slapped him with charges and made him remove the glorified outhouse sniper post.

Was It… Functional?

Officials haven’t confirmed if the port-a-potty was actually operational or just a deer blind in disguise. If it was, that thing was pulling double “doody.”

Lessons Learned?

Always get permission before hunting on private land.
Port-a-potties should probably stay in parking lots and construction sites.
Deer are smarter than this guy.

If hunting from a port-a-potty is your idea of “thinking outside the box,” maybe just buy an actual deer blind instead. But hey, at least he tried to stay hidden…even if he did it in the crappiest way possible.

What do y’all think—genius or just plain gross?
