Texas Tech Is Ranked in the Top 1% of Universities

Texas Tech recently made a huge jump of over 300 spots to be ranked in the top 1% of universities. On Earth. Which is still pretty good since we all go to school on Earth.

With the top 10 of this list of 1,000 going to the usual suspects like MIT, Harvard, and Oxford, this list seems to be fairly thorough. Of the approximately 26,000 universities on Earth Texas Tech didn't place in the top 1,000 last year. This year sees Tech in the top 750. So while it doesn't sound like anything to crow about on the surface, its actually quite an honor, and some much needed positive recognition for our school.

Texas Tech actually comes in at #701 so we made a leap of around 300 spots from last year!
