Let’s talk about why so many folks love living in my hometown of Lubbock, Texas You might hear a lot about the friendly people, the sunsets, and that unbeatable West Texas vibe. Here’s what some locals had to say about what makes life here so awesome when we asked, "What do you love most about living in Lubbock?"

Stan Brewer kicks it off by sharing how the good weather means he can play tennis with his friends year-round. That’s right—when a lot of places have snow or sweltering heat, Lubbock’s got a perfect balance that lets you get outside and stay active.

For Suzanne Howard Cooper, it’s all about being close to family. Whether you’re around the corner or across town, Lubbock keeps families connected, and there’s a strong sense of community here. Plus, if your friends and/or family live ALLLL the way across town, you can still get to their home in about 15-minutes!

Kalen Stone says it’s the environment that makes this place stand out. Wide-open skies, fresh air, and lots of space to breathe—what’s not to love?

Renée Bergenheier Underwood can’t get enough of the friendly people and those stunning sunsets. If you’ve seen a Lubbock sunset, you know it’s something special. There’s just something about the way the sky lights up over the plains where you can watch your dog run away for three days--as my grandfather used to say.

And here’s a cool one from Lynda Rogers: when you go to the supermarket, they help load your groceries into your car--at United  anyway! As Lynda, originally from New Jersey, points out, you don’t get that kind of service everywhere else in the country.

Finally, Tom Taylor appreciates how friendly folks are and how easy it is to get around. In Lubbock, people wave, smile, and take a minute to talk.

So, if you ask me, Lubbock’s got more than enough charm to go around!
