The Dallas Cowboys Have One of the Most Expensive NFL Tailgates

As we head into Week 2 of the NFL season, a new study found even just tailgating at a game can break the bank.

Some gambling site looked at how much it costs to tailgate at each NFL stadium in 2024. The average for four people is $205.17.

The price varies quite a bit depending on where you are though. And the most expensive spot just hosted the Monday night game this week.

The San Francisco 49ers have the most expensive tailgate at $292. Parking alone accounts for $132 of that. The other $160 covers food, water, soda, and 16 beers. So, four beers per person.

The rest of the Top Five most expensive tailgates are:

• L.A. Rams, $258
• Dallas Cowboys, $242
• Philadelphia Eagles, $238
• Washington Commanders, $224

The Arizona Cardinals have the cheapest tailgate at $158, mainly because they have free parking, or special tailgate parking spots for around $20. (This early in the season, you'd have to pay ME to stand out there in that heat.)

The rest of the five cheapest tailgates are:

• Atlanta Falcons, $173
• Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $175
• Carolina Panthers, $181
• Kansas City Chiefs, also $181

There are a few ways to tailgate at a Texas Tech game, and the cost varies depending on the event:

RaiderGate

This free student tailgate tradition is open to students and student organizations. Passes can be reserved online for individual students, student organizations, or for the entire season or week-to-week. RaiderGate is located in the R-3 Parking Lot, next to the Library.

The Texas Tech Club

Club members have free access to the Tailgate Tent, which opens three hours before kickoff and stays open throughout the game. Guests can be brought for $10 per person, and the Club's Tailgating Buffet is included in the guest fee. A full bar is also available.

Raider Alley

This free tailgate event offers food, music, and family-friendly activities. The access times for Raider Alley depend on the kickoff time.
