The Day the Music Died Events Announced for 2017
On February 3rd, 2017, the Buddy Holly Center has a number of events planned to remember the day the music died 58 years ago.
On that day in 1959, a plane crash took the lives of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, "The Big Bopper" J.P. Richardson and pilot Roger Peterson. Since the 1970s, it's been known as the day the music died.
Here are some of the events planned for the day:
Buddy Holly Gallery: Free Admission

J.I. Allison House: Free Admission
10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
First Friday Art Trail: Free Admission
6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
