The IRS Admits That the ‘Star Trek’ Training Video They Made in 2010 Was a Waste of Taxpayer Money
The IRS has admitted that a training video from three years ago that parodied "Star Trek" was a waste of taxpayer dollars. CBS News got their hands on the five-and-a-half-minute video, which was shown at a leadership conference in 2010.
According to the IRS, the video doesn't have enough training material to justify the expense. However, they're DEFENDING a 16-minute "Gilligan's Island" parody they also made.
The two videos reportedly cost around $60,000 total.
