The Lubbock Abandoned Vehicle Auction Is This Saturday
Your hunt for a super cheap and mostly running "new" vehicle is over. The Lubbock Abandoned Vehicle Auction is this Saturday (July 14) at Lubbock Wrecker Service, located on the Slaton Highway.
Every year, there are lots of vehicles of all kinds that are legally deemed "abandoned" by the City of Lubbock. Those vehicles are seized and stored until an auction, and there are auctions almost every month. Anybody can go and buy any of these vehicles as long as you have a legal ID to register.
The registration starts at 9 a.m. at Lubbock Wrecker Service at 3209 Slaton Highway, and ends at 10 a.m. when the auction starts. This means you don't have a lot of time to inspect the vehicles before the auction kicks in. But you can see all of them at the city's website right now at this link.
Check out the video below with a quick preview of the vehicles that some people just left behind and never came back for. There are pickups, SUVs, sports cars, motorcycles, vans, trailers, and many more. And not all of these have been wrecked, either. Many of them are in pretty good physical shape and may just need mechanical attention.
