Texas Tech Reminds Students of Raider Ride Service After Campus Assaults
Recent assaults on the campus of Texas Tech University has prompted a reminder to students about a free or low cost ride-share option offered by the school.
Raider Ride is an evening transportation service that runs from 6 p.m. until 2:45 a.m., seven days a week during the semester. The service is offered through Texas Tech University Transportation & Parking Services to passengers with a valid student ID.
Rides can be requested during service hours through the TapRide app and are free when the starting or ending point of the trip is on the main campus at Texas Tech or Satellite lots.
A $5 charge per ride will be applied when the trip is from any off-campus location to another off-campus location.
