Two-Vehicle Crash in South Lubbock Injures Four Teens
A two-vehicle crash in South Lubbock Monday sent four teenagers to a local hospital.
A statement released by the Lubbock Police Department says that the crash between a Hyundai Elantra and a Chevy truck occurred in the 3000 block of 114th Street. The Elantra traveling westbound lost control and traveled into the eastbound lanes where it struck a Ford pickup.
All four occupants of the Elantra -- an 18-year-old, a 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds -- were taken to the hospital with moderate to severe injuries.
Since then, the 18 and 17 year-old were released from the hospital. One of the 16-year-olds is in critical condition, while the other is in stable condition.
No word yet as to what caused the Elantra to lose control.
