What are the odds of that happening right after you get on the elevator?

An electric bike caught fire and exploded on a crowded elevator in China, wounding several people, including a baby. The video of the incident was viewed over 20 million times on Weibo, China's famous social media platform, and is now making its way over to platforms across the globe.

Some communities in Shanghai have already taken action to prevent this from happening again by adding a tech device to the elevators that will prevent them from closing if there's an electric bike on board.

Elevators already scare the crap out of me. Every time I get in one I'm already wondering if I'm going to fall straight to hell or better yet, be trapped inside it for days with random people until I eventually have to eat them...or something.

I'm not sure why they're so terrifying to me, but they are. You almost always have no idea who you are riding up or down with, and you're stuck in a small box with no windows. What if you fart? What if they fart?

I used to just worry about vapes exploding in my pocket. Now I have to worry about bikes exploding in the elevator?

I quit.
