Video: Wichita Falls Teacher Viciously Attacked by Students While Breaking Up Brawl
Video footage of a teacher being attacked by students while trying to break up a brawl at McNiel Middle School in Wichita Falls, Texas has been circulating the internet and causing quite a stir.
The fight was said to have begun in the afternoon on Wednesday, April 20th, 2022, around 12:30 p.m. In the video, two female students are seen fighting. When a teacher tries to break up the fight, the boyfriends of the fighting girls apparently felt the need to step in and begin punching the male teacher in the face because they didn't like the way he was touching them.
Four students were removed from campus after the fight and are not currently allowed to return. One teacher at McNiel Middle School is now worried that students might bring weapons to the school next time and is fearful of the way the children are behaving and said that other teachers are worried, too.
EverythingLubbock reports that several pictures were sent to their newsroom that included a toilet ripped from the floor in a bathroom. They were also told that fires had been previously set in the restrooms and soap dispensers were also torn right off of the walls.
In a statement released to parents, Summer Bynmun, principal of McNiel Middle School, stated:
"There is a video circulating on social media of an altercation between students and two staff members. Please know that these actions are not tolerated at our school or in WFISD. This matter is being investigated and dealt with by local law enforcement. All students are being disciplined in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and by local authorities. The safety of our staff and students is our top priority. If you have any concerns or questions, do not hesitate to contact me."
