Wear Your Brass Knuckles Legally In Texas Come September
House Bill 446 was signed by Gov. Gregg Abbott over the holiday weekend. The bill allows Texans to legally carry self-defense items such as brass knuckles and wild kat keychains.
The new law doesn't go into effect until September 1st, so you'll have to wait a few months.
As a member of the media who's seen Anchorman a couple of times, I know I need to have as many tools in my arsenal as possible. You just never know.
Unfortunately, the bill doesn't include anything regarding nunchucks, which is a major bummer. I feel like I really missed out on the 80's.
In all seriousness, if you are going to be carrying a self-defense weapon of any kind, make sure you know how to use it. Educate yourself and be responsible. Taking a self-defense class is an extremely rewarding thing to do.
