My very first real job was as a busboy at Bob York's Western Sizzlin' on 83rd & Indiana in Lubbock, Texas. I hated it.

My first real job that I actually LIKED was as the producer of Jack Dale's 'Sportsline' sports radio show on KKAM 1340 here in Lubbock. I LOVED that job and it launched my whole career path.

For those who don't know, Jack Dale was a legendary voice in Lubbock sports media. He was the voice of the Red Raiders for many, many years and he was seriously the nicest guy you would ever want to meet. He was so good to me and treated me with a lot of respect that I didn't deserve. I loved that man!

All of my buddies had jobs while in high school too. One worked at Wienerschnitzel, which was AWESOME because he would hook us up with free chili dogs. I had another friend who framed houses for a construction company, and another who teamed up with his brother to start a car detailing business.

We all made enough money to fill up our cars with gas and buy a few albums here and there. That was about as far as we could get on the measly money we were making, but we had actual jobs and it taught us a lot about responsibility.

How about you? We asked, "What was your first job?"

Here's what you had to say...
