Woman’s Body Found in the Water at Buffalo Springs Lake [Updated]

Update: According to Everything Lubbock, the woman has been identified as 76-year-old Louise Sheppard.

Original story: Thursday morning (Sept. 13th) at Buffalo Springs Lake, a body was discovered in the water.

KAMC News reports that first responders were called to the marina at the lake just after 8:30 a.m.

The body has not been identified yet, but it’s said to be a woman in her 70s who regularly fishes at the lake.

It’s unclear how the woman died or why she was in the water, but KAMC News reports a medical condition may have caused her to fall into the water.
