A Spa That Became a Community Staple

Back in 2008, when Woodhouse Spa first opened its doors in Lubbock, owner Erica Miller had a dream. It wasn’t just about building a spa—it was about creating a retreat, a resort-style destination right here in the Hub City that would lift up both body and spirit. Fast forward 17 years, and that dream has more than come true!

Woodhouse Spa Lubbock has now provided over 502,920 spa services, created 478 jobs, and donated $277,000 back into the local community. Those aren’t just numbers—they’re milestones that show how one business has quietly, but powerfully, helped shape Lubbock over nearly two decades.

Miller said via press release:

This milestone belongs as much to Lubbock as it does to our team. Every guest we’ve served and every relationship we’ve built has shaped who we are.

Recognized by Lubbock’s Leaders

Lubbock Mayor Mark W. McBrayer praised the spa’s contributions, pointing out how businesses like Woodhouse keep the city thriving.

We value businesses that invest deeply in our community, and that’s exactly who Woodhouse Spa has been for nearly two decades. Their commitment to local jobs, guest care, and giving back sets a standard for business leaders across the city.

And he’s right—Lubbock’s economy has grown into a regional powerhouse in the last decade, with nearly $18 billion in annual GDP and 14,600 new jobs added just in the past year. Through all that growth, Woodhouse Spa has stayed grounded in its mission: to serve the community, not just with spa treatments, but with meaningful impact.

More Than Massages and Facials

Yes, Woodhouse is about relaxation, but it’s also become a part of Lubbock’s life story. Think bridal parties, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, and quiet afternoons of self-care. For many families, Woodhouse is where memories are made, and where stress is left at the door.

Chief Operating Officer Ariel Clay credits the Lubbock team for raising the bar nationally:

This location truly embodies the Woodhouse experience, creating a place where guests can renew, restore, and reconnect.
