Would You Eat a Bacon Cheeseburger That Replaces the Buns With Even More Cheese?
Man, where was this back in 2003 when everyone in the world was doing Atkins?
The key here is a cheese called 'Bread Cheese'. It doesn't actually contain bread. It's a cheese that originally comes from Finland, and it's firm enough to stand in for the bread in a sandwich.
You can definitely get it at Sprouts, and maybe other grocery stores too. At least you'll be buying pretentious cheese for a totally unpretentious reason.
For this creation, the website used three slabs of bread cheese, two burger patties, six slices of bacon, and four pieces of regular cheese, to make a double-decker bacon cheeseburger.
It clocks in around 4,300 calories. And it looks amazing.
