Wes Welker had an exceptional career for the Red Raiders during his time in Lubbock. He also experienced a lot of success in the NFL, playing for two Hall of Fame quarterbacks in Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

Now that Welker has retired from football, he's moved on to coaching, currently working as an assistant coach in the NFL for the Houston Texans.

Welker recently returned to Lubbock and seemed to be continuing to coach during his off season. He was spotted giving a little bit of instruction to Keke Coutee.

Is Wes Welker out here scouting a potential fit for the Houston Texans, or is he just lending some wisdom to one of Tech's great slot receivers? Either way, it makes you think what might be happening.

The Texans have three 6th round draft picks (177, 211, and 214) and a pick in the 7th round (222), so they could potentially use one of those picks to try and secure a speedy slot receiver who can do it all.
