April 2nd is the deadline for filing property tax renditions. You can file your property tax renditions with your county appraisal district.

A rendition is a list of your taxable inventory, furniture, machinery, and other equipment and property owned or managed as of January 1st of each year. The appraisal district can use this information to set property values. Church property and equipment used for farming is not subject to rendition.

Owners whose property was damaged by natural disasters may file a special decreased value report, which shows their property’s condition on January 1st, and filing the decreased value report could lower tax bills for 2018.
