Eileen Brennan from “Clue” and “Private Benjamin” Has Died
Actress Eileen Brennan died Sunday of bladder cancer. She was 80 years old.
Brennan earned an Oscar nomination for playing Goldie Hawn's drill instructor in "Private Benjamin" in 1980. She reprised the role in a TV version that ran from 1981 to 1983. She won an Emmy for it. (Goldie wasn't on the show.)
Before that she played a waitress in "The Last Picture Show". Although most of you probably know her best as Mrs. Peacock on the 1985 movie version of the board game "Clue".

More recently, she had recurring roles on "7th Heaven" and "Will & Grace". She also played the CAT LADY in the 2001 horror flick "Jeepers Creepers".
On a related note, "Clue" may just have the greatest closing line in movie history...
