We just happened to be driving by the former home of Wild West Lubbock on I-27 when we noticed a new sign. Wild West has already been renamed Lucky's Roadhouse (as you can see in the video above), and we had to wonder what it was going to be?

We turned around, tried to get a closer look, and hopefully find someone with some information. The only person I found was a worker, who was planning to put up stucco.

Well, it was all still a mystery. I came back to the radio station and launched into an investigation (read: a Google search). It didn't take too long to find a Facebook page.

According to the Lucky's Roadhouse Facebook page, they're opening tonight (Thursday, May 25 at 8 p.m.) and are billing themselves as the biggest Tejano bar in Lubbock.

So there it is -- mystery solved! We miss Wild West Lubbock, but wish Lucky's Roadhouse the best on their new place.
