Legendary Lady Raider Sheryl Swoopes visited her alma mater in Lubbock for a ceremony celebrating her recent naming to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.

Swoopes was joined on the court at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas by Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt and Marsha Sharp, the Texas Tech Women's Basketball Coach who led Swoopes and her teammates to an NCAA Championship in 92-93 -- the school's first-ever national championship.

A special commemorative banner with a list of Swoopes' accomplishments was unfurled above the court to honor the women's basketball legend. The gesture touched Swoopes, who wiped away tears on the court.

The former Lady Raider sat courtside to enjoy the game against Kansas. It's possible that played a part in rallying the Lady Raiders, who fought back from a rough first two quarters to beat the Jayhawks 75-60 and snap their losing streak.

After the game, Swoopes stuck around to meet fans and take pictures with them.

Sheryl Swoopes will be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 10, 2017. She was also inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.
