TxDOT Plans To Make Life Harder on Lubbock-ites Starting Tomorrow

Starting tomorrow (1-4-11) TxDOT will close the northbound West Loop 289 frontage road from 34th to 19th Street. Traffic will be detoured to Frankford Avenue at 24th Street, then back to 19th Street. The closure is to allow crews to construct the tie-in between the existing roadway and the new frontage road alignment. This phase of construction is expected to be completed by the end of January.
