In Lamb County, a grand jury has indicted a man for manslaughter in the death of 45-year-old LaTisha Smith.
KAMC News reports that Smith died at a Lubbock hospital on or around April 17th, 2019 after suffering a cardiac arrest. An autopsy later revealed that Smith had at least two puncture wounds that may be connected to her death.
Littlefield Police have now been able to gather evidence that implicates 49-year-old Alonzo Caldwell in Smith's death. He was arrested Wednesday, March 4th, 2020, in Littlefield and was charged with manslaughter.
It isn’t the first time Caldwell has been arrested or been involved with LaTisha Smith. In 2016, he served 90 days in jail for assaulting her.
