After Closing Their Doors After 16 Years, The Mud Room in Lubbock Is Back
After 16 years of being open, The Mud Room had to make the tough decision to close a year ago. But fans can rejoice, because they're opening back up starting Saturday (October 8th) at a new location.
Their old location use to be at 82nd and Indiana. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, they had to close down in September 2020. They fought fiercely not to close, but they had to make the tough decision.
Then, out of the blue, they reappeared on Facebook and everyone got a little tease about them opening back up.
On September 7th, 2021, they posted that they're opening back up. Then, this week, The Mud Room finally announced the grand reopening is happening this weekend.
If you don't know, The Mud Room is a place where you can go to paint pottery, mosaic, and canvas studio. They offer lots of things like activities for kids and adults and monthly events, classes, contests and so much more. If you would like to book a party it will be for 90 minutes, cost a $25 deposit to reserve your spot and they offer off-site parties. Churches, daycares, schools are regular customers. If you can dream it, they can make it happen.
Their new location is going to be at 7006 University Ave #2, Lubbock, Texas. According to their Facebook page, they're under the new ownership of Robyn Haston.
As for what will happen next and if everything will be the same, I guess you'll have to go on Saturday at 10 a.m. to find out. They're actually giving away a party up to $200 in value, but you must come into the store to sign up.
