If you're going to eat a dish packed with potassium and healthy fats, you might as well avo good one, right?

United Supermarkets Corporate Dietician Brenda Garcia said she's working her way through some recipes from her friends at Avocados of Mexico — and she's found some that have her proclaiming "Bravocado!" (OK. Last avocado pun. For now.)

Avocados are great sources of "healthy fats" — those fats that won't increase your bad cholesterol but will fulfill the important function of transporting key nutrients through your body, Garcia explained. They also have almost as much potassium as a banana or an apple. If you're planning a meal, remember about a third of an avocado is considered a serving with 6 grams of fat.

One of Garcia's ideas for a sweet treat packed full of potassium is to freeze a banana and mix it with avocado and a bit of honey. Then top it with coconut, and you have "nice-cream."
