A bicyclist says that a man ran his car into his bike before getting out of the vehicle and physically assaulting him.

KAMC News reports that the incident happened in the 2000 block of 50th Street in Lubbock a bit after 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 21st.

The victim claims that he was riding his bicycle in the area when he noticed the suspect parked on the side of the road with the door open. The victim went around the vehicle and continued onward.

Police say that afterwards, the suspect caught up to the victim and purposefully struck the back of their bicycle. The suspect then is said to have gotten out of his vehicle and began physically assaulting the victim, who was knocked to the ground.

The officer that responded to the call noted that the victim had an injury on his arm and photographed it.

As of Monday, October 25th, the identity of the suspect remained unknown, and an arrest had yet to be made. No description of the suspect or his vehicle were provided in news reports.
