Texas Tech’s Broderick Washington Is Headed to Baltimore
Broderick Washington is headed to the Baltimore Ravens after the AFC North team picked him 170th overall in the 5th round of the 2020 NFL draft.
Washington was a team captain for his last two seasons as a Red Raider, and was continually praised as a leader on the Red Raider team. The improvement in the run defense for Texas Tech this season had a lot to do with Broderick Washington and his change in position. It's also a reason why the Ravens drafted him. He showed versatility, and will be able to play in a multiple front like the Ravens use.
Washington had 94 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks, 2 pass deflections, and one fumble recovery over the span of his college career. He joins teammate Jordyn Brooks as the only other Red Raiders who came off the board.
