DeLorean ‘Back to the Future’ Car to Go Back Into Production in Humble, Texas
The car made famous by the 80s blockbuster "Back To The Future" will go into limited production early next year.
WFSB 3 Connecticut reports that the DeLorean hasn't been made for over three decades, but now for the first time the classic car will be manufactured on American soil... right here in Texas.
Stephen Wynne, CEO of DeLorean Motors in Humble, Texas, says they have enough supplies for around 300 cars. He hopes to go from building one a month to one a week.
"It's fantastic," said Wynne. "It's a game-changer for us. We've been wanting this to happen."
Wynne says you can buy a refurbished model for $45,000 to $55,000. He hopes to sell the new ones for less than $100,000.
So it appears like we'll be seeing the car that Doc Brown and Marty went back in time with driving around the streets more often. And that's pretty awesome.
