Relax, the Full Snow Moon is just a name. I'm sure it's valid other places, but thankfully it doesn't appear to be the case here.

Right now, our forecast for February 10th, the day of the Full Snow Moon, is calling for a high of 70 degrees. So, I think a "snow" moon is in order in name only. It's also known as the hunger moon, because, well, it was hard to get food in the snow.

So, cold and hungry, our Native American tribes at least noticed everything was well lit.

What is kind of cool about this full moon in Lubbock is, it will be at its optimum at just 6:33 p.m., so you don't have to wait up for it all all night. If you forget about it, the next night it will still be at 99 percent.
