Former Texas Longhorns Quarterback Vince Young Arrested for DWI
The 33-year-old Young was arrested Sunday evening in Austin after authorities say he was seen speeding and weaving.
KXAN reports that Young was described as "uncooperative and polite" and admitted to police that he had three to four bottles of beer at a hotel. He also told officers he thought it was 2:30 in the morning when it was actually 11:23 pm.
According to the affidavit, the officer noticed a strong smell of alcohol on Young. The former Texas Longhorns and NFL player player refused a preliminary breath test and blood test. His speech was apparently mumbled and slurred.
Young was booked into the Travis County Jail where his bond was set at $2,000.
Young led the Texas Longhorns to a national championship in the Rose Bowl back in 2006. He was drafted in the first round by the Tennessee Titans and played his last game in the NFL with the Eagles back in 2011.
