It's the time of the year when many of us cringe at the idea of turning on the oven (or even the stove) to make dinner.

Thankfully, there are so many healthy and tasty alternatives. United Supermarkets' Corporate Dietician Brenda Garcia was sharing some of her ideas with us the other day, and they are too good not to pass on:

1) Throw meat on the grill. For something a little different, consider DIY-ing your own BBQ sauce (see this recipe from Happy + Nourished, the blog by Garcia's team) or pair with some summer fruit, like with this Spicy Beef Kebabs and Watermelon Salad recipe.

2) Embrace fish tacos. They have a really fresh taste, and if you don't feel like grilling fish, the crew at United Supermarket's fish counter will season and steam the fish for you for free. You can buy some pico de gallo and stir in some fresh mango or papaya for a fruity twist.

3) Check out the Ready to Grill options at United Supermarkets. These options are already seasoned, so you just grab them and throw them on the grill.

4) Don't forget to throw fruits and veggies on the grill. Grilling can add a nice flavor depth, and here are some tips to get it right.

5) No-bake snacks and desserts are the best. Try these No-Bake Energy Oat Bites.
