United Supermarkets' Corporate Dietitian Brenda Garcia has some exciting tips for keeping snacks healthy and interesting for both you and your family.

I mean, kids are only going to eat so many carrot sticks and celery sticks, right?

But, Garcia suggested dressing up celery sticks with Laughing Cow spreadable cheese, peanut butter, or beef jerky. (If you are watching sodium intake, Garcia suggests Country Archer beef jerky.)

Since probiotics are so important, yogurt is another great option, and Garcia recommends Chobani's lower sugar options.

She also recommends Evergreen frozen waffles, which are made with shredded veggies and fruit — and they are small enough to dip in Greek yogurt. For snacks on the go, she suggests Perfect bars, Mezcla bars, and Aloha bars.

Of course, the Happy & Nourished blog on United Supermarkets' website offers plenty of snack recipes and advice. Here are some of our favorites:

As you're shopping at Amigos, Market Street, and United Supermarkets, don't forget to look for lifestyle tags that denote particular dietary needs or goals. You might find some new snack ideas right on the shelf, too! You can learn more at unitedsupermarkets.com/lifestyle-tags.
