Investigators with the Lubbock Police Department have been unable to identify the suspect in a hit & run crash that happened in June, and are now asking for the public's assistance.

The crash itself happened at Broadway Street and Avenue S on Thursday, June 24th. Officers responded at around 11:20 p.m. to reports of a crash and located the victim, 39-year-old Amy Adkins with moderate injuries.

It's said that Adkins was walking westbound in the 1800 block of Broadway when a silver SUV, also traveling in the westbound lanes, struck her. After striking Adkins, the SUV stopped and a passenger got out. That passenger is said to have walked towards Adkins, but then got back in the vehicle. The vehicle then fled westbound on Broadway.

Adkins was transported to University Medical Center with a broken collarbone, shoulder bone and separated muscle from her spine. This all happened as Adkins says she had just left housing at the Salvation Army, walking home from her new job without a ride for the first night.

Adkins' daughter quickly set up a GoFundMe page to help her mother pay for her bills, and within 24 hours of setting it up, it amassed over $1,700 to help Adkins keep her new apartment.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Crime Line at 806-741-1000.
