Impress Your Friends With These Line Dances Next Time You Go to a Lubbock Bar
One of the many great things about Lubbock is the thriving nightlife you’ll find here. There are many different types of bars you can pick from, but my personal favorites are the ones centered around dancing.
Whether you prefer Rodeo 4, Chances R, or another one of Lubbock’s dance-focused bars, there are some line dances you should learn for the next time you go out. While most of these bars play songs for you to two-step, they will always throw a few line dances in the mix and you can usually make a request for one they don’t play too often.
You have your classics that you know they’ll play like the Wobble, Cha Cha Slide, or the Cupid Shuffle, which everyone already knows, but there are other dances out there that you might not know yet.
Some songs they often play that you might not know the dance for yet include Footloose, Copperhead Road, and Cotten Eyed Joe. These are country line dance classics that you’ll want to familiarize yourself with if you become a regular at these bars.
While those are great basics to have in your pocket, there are a few other dances that you can learn in order to really impress your friends and others at the bar. Those dances include Rude Dude, Sweet Home Alabama, Church Clap, Fake ID, Same Ole Two Step, and the Bikers Shuffle. These dances all take a bit of practice to learn, but once you have it down, they are really fun.
I know it seems a bit intimidating to try and learn so many dances, but if you really love dancing as I do, I know it’ll be a fun process for you. If you don’t know where to get started learning these dances, I suggest searching them up on YouTube or even TikTok. Or, you can just get out there and try learning from those that already know the moves at your favorite bar.
Check out these TikToks showing off some of the dances mentioned above.
