Cowboys Out

All around the Lubbock highways we've had whimsical cowboys to greet us on our travels. Those cowpokes have now moseyed on. The cowboy art will all be joined together at one location which will probably make it much more impactful to anyone who wishes to enjoy it.

Flowers In

Those of you who attended the Lubbock Arts Festival got a preview of our latest roadside art and it is SPECTACULAR. It's giant metal flowers and they are perfect. What a way to add a little beauty to Lubbock (and appease contrarians such as myself). These flowers are enormous and can be seen from a great distance. They are amazing both up close and with their size they make excellent landmarks as well.

They're Ready

One of the most amazing things about these flowers is how quickly they went up. They pretty much went from the floor of the Civic Center on Sunday to already being installed. That's right, it's four flowers and no waiting for the Hub City.  I have to say that public art is crucial to a cities identity and I'm pretty proud to see the City Of Lubbock embrace a few spots around town. Good job everyone!
