If you love video games and collectible nerdy fun stuff, you've probably been to Found Gaming. They've got all kinds of neato gamer gear. I just visited them a few weeks ago in search of a Sega Genesis game that I was sure I wouldn't find anywhere in town. There it was, right there on the shelf.

They've got a good thing going on over at Found Gaming. Walking through is a blast from the past. It's a 90s kid Mecca, y'all, and paired with the friendly and knowledgable staff, it's one of the best small businesses in town. They make Lubbock a much cooler place just by being open.

Owner, Allie York, shared a poignant Facebook post about what it was like to go from selling used games at the flea market to putting together a full-fledged business. It wasn't easy, but she stuck with it.

Chase your dreams, guys.

If you've never visited Found Gaming, I highly recommend checking them out. If you've got kiddos who haven't been exposed to all of the cool gaming systems and games from the good old days, take them in there! If you're already a big gamer, ask them about their upcoming tournaments and get involved! They give away cool prizes and it's a great way to make friends with like-minded individuals in Lubbock.

While I'm at it, go out and visit ALL of the small businesses in Lubbock. Skip the big-name stores and buy locally from your neighbors, friends, and family who work hard to keep the lights on in their small shops, just for you.
