I'm not sure what they were going for here, but the new Starbucks location on 60th and Slide Road looks super weird. The butt-side is facing the street for some reason and something about it doesn't sit right with me. I'm not the only person who thinks it's weird, either. I came across a discussion about it on the LBKFoodies Facebook page entitled:

"Dear Starbucks, you built the new building on 60th and Slide backward."

Comments on the Facebook post ranged from cracking jokes to giving insight into why the location was flipped around in the wrong direction. Here's what locals had to say:

"You don't recognize the Stairway to Heaven? My Mocha is right on the other side."

"It looks like a prison."

"I thought the drinks were ON the house."

"I live 4 blocks from there and think this every. single. day."

"I was laughing at this all day yesterday."

"File this under things that can never be unseen."

"Looks a little "off" from the street, but makes total sense for customer access and parking."

"At first glance, sure it's backward. Except, as a customer, I can see exactly how backed up or not the drive-thru lane is, and if I'm staying there to drink my coffee I can sit on the patio and not be ten feet away from traffic noise and exhaust fumes. I'm okay with this."

What do you think about the new Starbucks? At the end of the day, does it even matter? Nope. Not really. As long as the coffee is hot and the frappuccinos are cold, I don't think anyone minds.
