I am fascinated by the band Oasis.

Yes, Oasis had legitimate rock hits in the United States. We loved “Wonderwall,” “Live Forever,” “Champagne Supernova” and plenty more. But for every big hit they had in America, it seemed like they had 10 more back home in the U.K.

They were, quite simply, the biggest thing to hit Britain since The Beatles.

And then they blew it all up.

Oasis Had One Of Rock's Greatest Sibling Rivalries

Bands fighting with each other is nothing new. In fact, sometimes it feels like arguing is part of the job description.

But Oasis was different because the two guys at the center of all the chaos were brothers.

Liam and Noel Gallagher didn't just disagree. For an extended period of time, these two appeared to genuinely hate each other, constantly lobbing insults back and forth in interviews and through the press.

The band finally broke apart in 2009, and the Gallagher family feud continued for nearly 15 years.

Then something nobody was sure we'd ever see actually happened.

They reconciled.

That reconciliation eventually led to the massive Oasis reunion tour, with the band managing to keep everything together for 41 shows across 14 countries and five continents.

Considering the history between these two guys, simply making it through the tour might qualify as one of rock's greater accomplishments.

Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger Comes To Lubbock

Now the story is coming to the big screen.

Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger deals with the entire journey: the reasons behind the breakup, the tension surrounding the reunion, what was happening backstage, the incredible relationship between Oasis and their fans, and, of course, the music.

This isn't just a concert movie. It's the story of one of rock's biggest bands somehow finding its way back together after years of bitterness.

And Lubbock is getting the IMAX experience.

The currently scheduled Lubbock screening will take place at Premiere Cinemas on Wednesday, September 9 at 7:15 p.m.
