For the second year in a row the City of Lubbock Prosecutor's Office is hosting their Trunk or Treat event. Since this is their second year they have made it bigger and better than the year before for both parents and children.

Alisha Zamora with the City of Lubbock's Prosecutor's Office informed us that due to the very high turn out and positive response from the community that they have taken the initiative to go even bigger with their Trunk or Treat event this year. Like every Trunk or Treat they will of course have many local organizations and businesses that will have their trunks open to give out candy. Those organizations do include the Lubbock Police Department, Lubbock Fire and Rescue, and EMS.

Just like the year before there will be free parking in the parking garage located just across from Citizens Tower and the Municipal Court. Along with giving out candy they will have food trucks present at this event so that local residents can support local businesses. The food trucks will be ready to serve food starting at 5:30 p.m. with the Trunk or Treat being from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 27.

This Trunk or Treat will help to ensure that children across the South Plains have a safe Halloween and are able to gather as much candy as possible. Anyone with questions or concerns can contact Alisha Zamora at 806-775-2465 or via email at AZamora@mylubbock.us for more detailed information on this event.
