Josh Hamilton Highlights Newest Texas Rangers Hall Of Fame Inductees

On Monday afternoon, the Texas Rangers announced some new additions to their Hall of Fame.

Former Texas Ranger outfielder Josh Hamilton and former Arlington Mayor Richard Greene, who was crucial in constructing Globe Life Park in the 1990s were named as the newest inductees to the Texas Ranger Baseball Hall of Fame.

Hamilton posted a batting line of .305/.363/.549 with 142 home runs and 506 RBI over five seasons with Texas from 2009-12 after being acquired from Cincinnati in December 2007. He also had one of the most impressive outings during the 2008 Home Run Derby.

This will also mark the first inductees since Michael Young was inducted in 2016. Young also had some very nice words to share about his former teammate.

Hamilton and Greene will be inducted before the Rangers game against the Minnesota Twins Saturday, August 17th with the ceremony set to begin at approximately 6:50 p.m.
