Kripsy Kreme Giving Away Free Doughnuts For The COVID Vaccine
Well, this is certainly a delicious way to get people excited about the COVID-19 vaccine.
On Monday, Krispy Kreme announced a tasty incentive to get more people vaccinated against COVID. Beginning Monday, those who show a valid COVID-19 vaccination card at any Krispy Kreme location in America will get a free Original Glazed doughnut. The best part? You can go back any day, any time, every single day for the rest of the year according to USA Today.
The freebie is valid at all 369 Krispy Kreme shops located in 41 states and available “anytime, any day, every day for the rest of the year,” Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer, told USA TODAY. No purchase is necessary.
Krispy Kreme is also offering up to four hours of paid time off for each COVID vaccination for its employees. And it isn't alone. Businesses including retailers such as Best Buy, Target and Trader Joe's, have been providing paid time off to employees who get the vaccine.
The promotion last so long because company officials want everyone to be able to take part in the free doughnut promotion and still, not everyone in the United States is eligible to get vaccinated.
According to a City of Lubbock press release from Sunday, March 21. Over 50,000 Lubbock residents have had at least one shot. 32,958 citizens in Lubbock have received both shots needed to be vaccinated.
In order to get the free doughnut from Krispy Kreme, you need to have your COVID-19 vaccine card with you and show it. If you only have your first shot, you can still get a free doughnut.
