Little Things We Love About Lubbock-Cheap Chicken Day at United!

I can't think of a more 'American' thing than a big box full of crispy, delicious, tender, juicy fried chicken! (I just started drooling as I wrote that sentence) And, the only thing better than fried chicken is SUPER CHEAP fried chicken!

United Supermarket locations around West Texas have a really great special each Monday that you NEED to know about! They'll gladly hand over 10 HUGE, golden fried chicken legs if you'll just give them $6. That's right! And when I say HUGE, I mean it! These chicken legs are closer to the size of a turkey leg every time I've ordered them.

I was wondering if this cheap chicken deal was just a fever dream I had or if it was really true, so I spoke to Jamie at the 82nd & Boston location in Lubbock and he said that they "sell them till they run out" at most locations. He gets 10 cases of chicken legs and when they're gone, they're gone! So, you might want to swing by at lunch and pick up dinner for later just to be sure you don't miss out.

I also got a large order of their wonderful mac & cheese to go with my order and I think the total was less than $10 and it fed two of us for two days!

Also, here's a pro tip from your chubby buddy Landon...reheat your chicken in the air fryer. It comes out tasting like it literally just came out of the fryer! You can also eat it cold straight out of the fridge, but you're probably not a savage like me and you have class.
