Lubbock Dairy Queens Are Giving Away Free Ice Cream Cones to Celebrate Spring

To celebrate the beginning of Spring, or, as I like to call it "Official ice cream weather," select Dairy Queens locations are offering free soft serve ice cream cones on March 20th.

Every customer will get a free small cone, but they are also raising funds for Children's Miracle Network, a charity that is famous for buying life-saving medical equipment for children in need.

To make sure that I was covered in my free ice cream adventure, I called the DQ closest to the radio station. Jamie, at the 7813 Slide Road location, told me exactly what I wanted to hear and confirmed they were participating. So give your location a call before you head out, as Dairy Queen is a franchise and owners can opt-out if they desire (like if they hate making people happy). Well, maybe they don't hate it, but they don't want to share their delicious ice cream for free, which I could not possibly understand.
