Friday (Sept. 8), a Lubbock man was sentenced to 151 months (12.5 years) in federal prison following his guilty plea of possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base.

Thirty-three-year-old Dewitt Donnell Bailey was arrested in May of 2017 after an investigation that lasted several months. Law enforcement executed three search warrants in Lubbock related to individuals involved in the distribution of cocaine base. Bailey was an occupant of all three locations.

Searches of the three residences found approximately $10,000 and around 160 grams of cocaine base.

Forty-seven-year-old Charlene Denise Davis, Bailey’s half-sister, pleaded guilty in May of 2017 to one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Davis was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison. She was ordered to surrender to the Bureau of Prisons on October 6, 2017.

Bailey has been in custody since the time of his arrest in March 2017.
