Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS to Host ‘Summerfest’

The Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS are hosting their biggest fundraiser of the year on August 10th and I'll be your emcee for the nights festivities!

I've been an 'honorary' AMBUC since I was born. Both my mom and dad are past presidents of the chapter, my dad was an active member up until his passing, my mom is still an active member, and my sister joined as soon as she moved back to Lubbock.

As you can tell, AMBUCS is a requirement for the members of the King family and I really like to help them out when I can! Here's the press release for the event:

LUBBOCK, Texas (PRESS RELEASE) - The Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS is thrilled to announce its annual Summerfest fundraiser, set to take place on August 10th, 2024. This year’s event promises an exciting evening filled with fun, food and festivities, all dedicated to raising funds for our ongoing mission to create mobility and independence for people with disabilities.

Join us at Prima Vista Event Center at 402 N. FM 179 from 5:30pm to 10:30pm on August 10th for a variety of activities, including live music by Spur 327, dinner, drinks, a live and silent auction, raffles and much more. Local businesses and community members are coming together to support this cause, showcasing the strength and generosity of our community.

All proceeds from the Summerfest will go directly towards providing Amtrykes, scholarships, and community service efforts that help improve the quality of life for individuals with different abilities. Last year’s Summerfest raised enough money to give away over 50 Amtrykes and $47,000 in scholarships to TTUHSC Therapy students. Your participation means more than just a day of enjoyment; it’s a step towards making a significant difference in someone’s life.
