Lubbock Walmart Sells the Perfect Starbucks Cake Dupes

Everyone who loves Starbucks knows just how good their lemon cake and banana bread is. The only issue is that it's around $4 for just one slice of the stuff.

A video recently went viral on TikTok showing that Walmart sells a dupe of the same bread for only $1.

The person that made the video explained that they used to work at Starbucks and they think it tastes just like the real thing. However, Starbucks told Daily Dot that they're actually not the same product, and that “Starbucks recipes are exclusive to the company, using high-quality ingredients and we continue to develop our portfolio of beverage and food items to meet customer needs.”

Despite them not being exactly the same, I love a good lemon pound cake, so I looked into it further. The Walmarts here in Lubbock do carry these individually packages slices of cake and bread.

This is just like people trying to find the best copycat recipe in order to make their favorite Starbucks drink at home. Sometimes you don’t want to spend $5 on a cup of coffee, and that’s okay. There are also times where you can't find something that's really close to the original product, so when you can it is extra exciting.

They also have more options than just banana bread and lemon cake. 

It's always fun when you can find good dupes like this. Even though they might not taste exactly the same or they're made with different ingredients, it's still a great and affordable option.
