Lubbock’s All Saints Names 2025 Valedictorian and Salutatorian
It’s an exciting time at All Saints Episcopal School in Lubbock as they proudly announce the Class of 2025 Valedictorian and Salutatorian. This year’s top academic honors go to two outstanding students: Luke Alan Rushing, named Valedictorian with a cumulative GPA of 5.260, and Emily Anne White, Salutatorian with a cumulative GPA of 5.214.
About Luke
Valedictorian Luke Alan Rushing, son of Meg and Ross Rushing, has built an exceptional academic résumé that places him among the nation’s best. He is a College Board National Merit Finalist and has been named a United States Presidential Scholarship Semifinalist. This fall, Rushing will attend Texas A&M University as a Brown Scholar, majoring in Chemical Engineering within the Craig and Galen Brown Engineering Honors Program.
Throughout his time at All Saints, Luke has earned countless accolades, including recognition in the Chemistry Olympiad, where he placed among the top 150 students nationally and currently holds the school record. He is also a two-time TAPPS 2A State Science Champion, contributing to the school’s five-year consecutive reign as State Academic Champions.
Locally, Luke has received the school’s highest student honor, the Proven Patriot Award, every year of upper school—a recognition chosen by faculty for students who best represent the school’s traditions of academic excellence, leadership, service, and school spirit. He has served in numerous leadership roles, including vice president of Student Council, and has actively participated in National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science Bowl, and varsity tennis.
About Emily
Salutatorian Emily Anne White has also maintained an extraordinary academic record with a GPA of 5.214 and has been a vital member of the school’s academic and extracurricular community.
The daughter of Elise and Kyle White, Emily is a College Board National Merit Commended Scholar who plans to attend Texas Christian University in the fall, majoring in Biology on a Pre-Med track.
Emily has been a powerhouse on three varsity athletic teams and three academic teams. This year, she captained the Varsity Volleyball team to a TAPPS 1-6A Spikedown Championship and a TAPPS 2A State Third Place finish. First Team All-State, State All-Tournament Team, All-State Academic Team, District MVP, First Team All-District, and All-City Offensive MVP.
Emily helped lead the Varsity Tennis team to a 2A State Championship in April. Her girls' doubles team finished State Runner-Up, helping clinch the team’s overall second-place finish in the state. She was named Second Team All-State and Academic All-State in tennis as well.
Emily also picked up basketball for the first time ever this year. As a senior rookie, she earned TAPPS Honorable Mention All-District and was named the 2025 All-City TAPPS Newcomer of the Year.
Beyond sports, Emily serves as the Vice President of the National Honor Society, plays in the school band, and competes on the Varsity Mock Trial team. She was also a member of the 2024 Homecoming Court.
Outside of school, she’s equally impressive. She’s active in the National Charity League, Lubbock Symphony Debutantes, and the Lubbock Assembly Club, and has racked up over 320 hours of community service. She also plays club indoor and beach volleyball with Lubbock Juniors.
Congrats Grads!
