Nana’s Kitchen Transitions to Food Truck With Brand New Name
Lubbock's Nana's Kitchen has closed their brick and mortar store. But don't worry, you'll still be able to indulge in their incredible cinnamon rolls and fried pies.
The COVID-19 pandemic has kicked many businesses right in the teeth, but "Nana" isn't giving up.
From their Facebook page:
Hey y’all.... I have received a ton of messages and phone calls about closing the store... I just want to clear something up here... I am NOT sad I’m actually excited and just thrilled about transitioning into a food trailer.
Yes this got us down and out... It slowed down sales, it slowed down business, it did a lot of damage and hurt a lot of people and small mom and pop shops. We we’re unable to get this small business loan or help that the gov said was there. It ran out of money and the big business got to it before a lot of us small ones could.
But.... Your girl here is absolutely resilient and I’m not gonna let it stop me from serving you my homemade goodies. I’m a fighter and I’m fighting back!
Nana's Kitchen is also changing its name and logo to avoid confusion with another food truck that bears a similar name. Soon, Nana's Kitchen will be Plain Jane's.
We love "Nana" very much, and I'm sure we will love "Plain Jane" even more. Best of luck to you, Melissa!
