Apartment List, a popular website that helps people find places to live, has just released Lubbock's score on their list of top places for young families to live. This list provides ratings and other statistics people are interested in before moving.

Out of the 474 cities in the study, Lubbock was ranked no. 303. This is the equivalent of a B- rating.

As for Lubbock's highest score, the category was school quality with a score of 57 percent. In the safety category, Lubbock received a score of 18.2 percent. The four graded areas were: safety, housing cost, school quality and child friendliness.

Overall, Texas was well-represented on the list. The no. 1 city on the list was Allen, Texas. Frisco, McKinney, Flower Mound and Pearland all earned top 10 positions.

The worst five cities for families according to the list are: St. Louis, Missouri, Cleveland, Ohio, Birmingham, Alabama, Detroit, Michigan and Colombia, South Carolina.
