During a Monday media teleconference held by Texas Tech football head coach Matt Wells, he announced that quarterback Alan Bowman is healthy and cleared to play, but will redshirt the rest of the season.

This is probably the best decision for Bowman and the Red Raiders. While Bowman can still play one more game and redshirt, there's no need to try and force him back into the offense.

Going forward, it will be Jett Duffey and Jackson Tyner as QB 1 & 2, respectively.

QB Maverick McIvor is apparently also cleared to play, but he will redshirt the rest of the year just like Alan Bowman.

Next up for the Red Raiders are the TCU Horned Frogs on November 16th, with a kickoff time set for 11 a.m.

Talk 1340 will host Countdown to Kickoff beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, where we'll have previews of not just Tech and TCU, but other top games from around the nation.
